Before you get started:
Sign Up into Zapier here.
Set up Zap to connect your Slack and PingMi account
We’ve already set the Zap template, you just need to connect your Slack and PingMi accounts. You can find it in the Zap directory here.
Set the trigger. Choose Slack as the app. Choose “New Message Posted to Channel” as the trigger event.
Next Connect to your Slack account.
Select relevant properties for the trigger.
Channel: Choose Slack channel where your team post product feedback.
Trigger for bot messages: Choose No if you don't want to log any bot messages as insights.
Click “Test trigger”. If it’s working, Zapier will be able to find a channel.
For the app, select “PingMi”. In the Action Event field, select “Create Insight”.
Connect your PingMi account.
In PingMi connect page open Zapier card.
Copy Team Hash and API Key to connect your account into Zapier.
Set up the action event. Fill in the following fields (tap on the + to choose from the list):
Description - Choose Text of the messages from the list.
Tags: Write or choose the tag from the list if you want to mark insights additionally in PingMi. We recommend to choose Channel name as tags.
Source URL: This is the URL for the feedback in Slack channel - choose Permalink in the list.
Author Name: Choose User Name from the list
Click “Test and Review” to check that the action works.
You’ll see “Test was successful” if there are no issues.
Now all new messages in selected Slack channel will be landed in PingMi as insight.
